We produce, market, and distribute high-quality ethyl alcohol from a variety of origins and bases, including sugarcane, orange (citrus), grapes, and various grains. Sustainability
We strive to minimize environmental impact across all our processes and promote responsible production methods to reduce our ecological footprint. From the raw materials used in our main product, originating from the by-products of other companies, to the principles of reuse and recycling that serve as the foundation of our manufacturing, storage, and control processes, sustainability remains at the core of our planning and execution.
With 55% of its site dedicated to the preservation of local flora and fauna, MarKel demonstrates its commitment to nature and to reducing potential environmental impacts.
The use of organic fuels, also derived from agro-industrial by-products, combined with modern equipment and rigorous processes ensures high levels of control and the elimination of atmospheric pollutant emissions, thereby contributing to the preservation of air quality in the region where the company is established.
By using its own generators, the entire industry is powered by electricity produced in-house through the conversion of surplus thermal energy. As a result, thousands of watts of power from the distribution grid are no longer consumed, remaining instead available to the local population.
Through the reuse and treatment of industrial effluents and human waste processed by biodigesters, MarKel drastically reduces the consumption of replacement water in its industrial processes, thereby ensuring the longevity of aquifers and their capillarity. Furthermore, the company returns to the environment and society valuable by-products for agribusiness, which are used in fertigation, composting, fertilization, and other practices aimed at restoring soil quality.
